THIS SHORT but eye-opening video created by Take 3, a not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia, is a sad reminder of the extend of the pastic pollution that is choking our planet.
The beach featured in the video is Kailua Beach in Hawaii, one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Trade 3 explains that “this beach sits on the windward side of Oahu meaning plastic debris from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch washes up regularly on the onshore trade winds.”
Thankfully, organizations such as Trade 3 and Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii bring awareness on the issue and do their best to care for their coastlines through hands on beach clean ups.
