This TED Talk, titled “Reclaiming the globe” spotlights Evita Robinson (Nomadness Travel Tribe CEO), as she narrates through the evolution of Black travel for Americans. Starting with Jim Crow, and the necessity of Victor Hugo Green’s Negro Motorist Green Book during this era, she weaves it into what is now known as the Black travel movement on social media. The words are poignant, and the delivery is both emotional and powerful.

Given the current climate of politics and race relations in the United States, the timing of this TED Talk release couldn’t be better. It’s a mirror for travelers of color, Black-American history, and what it’s like for Black people while traveling abroad.
