It’s not hard to find a beautiful Airbnb in Greece. Anything with a window will probably do — bonus points if that window looks out at the Aegean Sea. That’s one of many things to love about the Seaweed Studio in Milos. Not only does the seafoam green studio have doors and windows in the living room and bedroom that open directly to the water but also a staircase leading to a little beach and tiny pier where you can take a private dip.

A two-story, one-bedroom fisherman-style house on the island of Milos, the Seaweed Studio is built right into the rocks abutting the water. The Airbnb is located in a remote village called Skinopi about a mile away from the Port of Adamas. You’ll need a car (preferably a 4×4) or an ATV to get there; neither taxis nor public transportation service the area. There’s not much besides houses in Skinopi, but there’s a supermarket about 15-20 minutes away by car, and the towns of Klima, Plaka, and Tripti are a short drive away.
Milos itself is part of the Cyclades island chain, which also includes Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos, and many other beautiful Greek islands. There’s a lot to do on the island, from snorkeling near striking volcanic rock formations along the coast to exploring archaeological sites and cultural landmarks such as the Ancient Theater of Milos and Plaka Castle. While the Seaweed Studio is a seafront rental, you may want to venture to the island’s most popular beaches, such as Sarakiniko Beach and Fyriplaka Beach, and Tsigrado Beach.
