YOU’VE PROBABLY SEEN THE EIFFEL TOWER about a million times in your life. In friends’ selfies, in establishing shots in movies, on the cover of travel guides, and in the form of little trinket souvenirs co-workers place on their work desks. But you’ve never seen it like this.

Ivan Kuznetsov is a 20-year-old Russian urban explorer or, in his words, a “rooftopper.” He decided to take the stairs up the Eiffel Tower early in the morning, and then climbed over the fence and climbed up the world famous structure while his friend shot footage of him from a drone. It was very, very illegal, and you should never do it yourself. But you have to admit: the footage is pretty badass.
