Tired of hunting down mailboxes and checking on postage prices when you should be out exploring? Now with goPostal, you can send a personalized postcard directly from your iPhone or iTouch.
Mailing a Postcard

The goPostal app, a free download from the iPhone App Store, allows you to select a photo from your library or snap one on the spot, write a personal message, choose a recipient, and send.

That’s it!

goPostal

The 4x 6 postcard, which includes a UV protective coating, is delivered to your U.S. resident of choice via the U.S. Postal Service.

The cost is $1.29 per postcard, which includes postage: both convenient and thrifty for travelers that want to send a customized souvenir to friends and family.

goPostal also allows for more creativity than the generic postcard.

Why send your mom the standard Ipanema Beach shot when she could have a picture of her name spelled out with shells on the sand to stick up on the refrigerator?

Everyone’s seen a photo of the Eiffel Tower, but they haven’t seen you sliding down the banister of its staircase with Paris sprawled out behind you.

The goPostal app also offers businesses a new, unique way to keep in touch with their customers.

Postcards with goPostal can be sent to anyplace in the U.S. from anyplace in the world. For more information, including testimonials, check out their website at www.printyourlife.com.

What a cool idea….I always send postcards when I am traveling. This sure would make it easier. People always love getting postcards, but I’ve never sent one that had people I knew in the photo!

I prefer to use Postcard Star, which is a free app that enables you to mail a real postcard with your iPhone. First card is free and additional postcards are just one dollar.

I take the recipient’s address from my Contacts or type it in just as I enter my personal message. I’ve used Postcard Star out of network such as in a plane as it stores my postcards until I am back on a network. It is great not having to go buy postcards and then search for stamps.

You guys should also have a look at Postino, have a post up at http://www.brighthub.com/computing/mac-platform/articles/38097.aspx about the app – again for sending postcards from the iPhone.

You need to make sure the quality of the postcards is good. I am a Realtor and I use these with my clients… I tried a few options but the only one I like so far is the postcard app. I have posted the link above. Otherwise these are cool ideas! Lov it.
