The unexpected Las Vegas: Touring the Downtown Arts District

Las Vegas Friend Groups Art + Architecture Galleries Restaurants + Bars Insider Guides Music + Nightlife

The Downtown Arts District in Las Vegas will surprise you with how many impressive local spots there are.

On this quick bicycle tour around town we hit up a bunch of them, starting with Vesta Coffee for one of the best cups of coffee in town. From there we peruse the Arts Factory, which has over 26 galleries and studios. For lunch it's Esther’s Kitchen, where Chef James Tree is pushing boundaries on locally based fare and making sure every piece of silverware, art, and dishware in the restaurant is also made or sourced in Vegas.

Next, we grab drinks at Jammyland, enjoying its comfy outdoor patio, followed by a full-on night out at ReBAR, where you can drink and browse antiques simultaneously, and take in awesome local bands at the onsite Funkyard. However you decide to do it, the Downtown Arts District makes for a great day in Vegas.
