18 country’s flags made from their most famous foods
TO PROMOTE THE SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL a few years ago, the festival hired an advertising firm to recreate the world’s many flags using the foods the countries are best known for. The result, put together by the WHYBIN/TBWA Group is fantastic and incredibly creative.
On top of looking awesome, it could also serve you as a guide for which country you might want to go to next, based solely on the food.
1. The United States
Hot dogs with ketchup and mustard.
2. France
Blue cheese, brie, and grapes.
3. Italy
Basil, spaghetti, and tomatoes.
4. India
Curry chicken, rice, and cheera thoran topped with a papadum wafer.
5. Vietnam
Starfruit, lychee, and rambutan.
6. Brazil
Passion fruit on pineapple on lime on banana leaf.
7. Greece
Feta and olives.
8. Japan
Raw tuna on rice.
9. Lebanon
Pita topped with tomatoes and parsley.
10. South Korea
Bimbap with sauce.
11. Australia
Meat pie.

Star fruit on dragonfruit.
