Nikita Nelin was born in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the U.S in 1989. Heavily influenced by travel and the experience of the 'other,' his writing experiments with voice, perspective, and immersive journalism. He has received the Sean O’Faolain prize for short fiction and the Summer Literary Seminars prize for non-fiction. He currently lives in Seattle, Washington.
