Vivien Bui is a first-generation Vietnamese-American writer who currently attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a result of not being allowed to play video games as a child, she has gravitated towards the ever-so-dangerous and despicable career of writing. She sticks to personal essays, fiction, and creative nonfiction, but is known to dabble in poetry when feeling particularly sadistic, covering themes of race, culture, gender, and the arts.
