Jakub Marian used the Google auto-complete function to create a map that shows the top suggestions for the question: “Why is + European country…?” For example, if you started typing “Why is Cyprus…” in the Google search bar, the top suggestion would be “Why is Cyprus divided?”
Although some of the suggestions are clearly linked to events such as terrorist attacks in France Marian’s map is an interesting glimpse into what people are the most curious about Europe.
