In the wake of Kobe Bryant’s sudden and tragic death on Sunday, people around the world have been voicing their support for the NBA superstar and celebrating his legacy in various ways. In Los Angeles, a colorful mural has appeared on a wall in Pickford Market, depicting Kobe and his daughter Gianna who also died in the helicopter crash.

The mural was painted by artist Jules Muck and reads “Kobe & Gigi. Forever Daddy’s Girl.” On Instagram, Muck posted a photo of the mural with the caption, “Let the honors roll. #kobebryant #giannabryant #rip.”

Another mural popped up on Ventura Boulevard, depicting the star in his Lakers jersey with his smiling daughter behind him.

And it’s not just LA getting creative with the Bryant tributes. In New York City, someone taped “KOBE” above the Bryant Park subway sign at 42nd Street, covering the “5 Ave” part of the sign. Madison Square Garden paid its respects by lighting up with purple and gold (Laker colors) last night, as did the Empire State Building and other famous buildings throughout the US.

In the coming days and weeks, other tributes can be expected to crop up all over the country as fans continue to grapple with this shocking loss.
