To celebrate the North American launch of its new ship Norwegian Joy in May 2019, as well as Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10, 2019), Norwegian Cruise Line giving away free cruises to 15 educators and their plus ones in the US and Canada via its Giving Joy campaign.

If you know any exceptional teachers, nominate them before April 12 on the Norwegian website. Teachers can also nominate themselves. Once the nominations are in, anyone can vote for their favorite teacher.

In addition to the seven-day cruise, winners will also be given a free trip, including airfare and lodging, to an award ceremony on May 3 in Seattle. The best part of the prize, however, might be the $15,000 that will be donated to the teachers’ schools.

In a statement, Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, said, “Through our Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign, we celebrate the power of education and travel, and reward teachers who have taken responsibility for our future, our children, and who lean into that responsibility with all they’ve got.”

Norwegian Joy will be cruising year-round from the West Coast to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, and Panama Canal from Miami and Los Angeles.
