There are a lot of reasons to get frustrated over a flight delay, and the pilot forgetting his passport is definitely one of the most valid.

According to The Korea Times, a T’way Air flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to Incheon, South Korea, was supposed to take off at 10:35 PM local time on Friday, but was delayed 11 hours, and only departed at 9:40 AM the next day. According to the low-cost, South Korean airline, the postponement was due to one of the aircraft’s pilots losing his passport.

Pilots have to undergo airport screening just like everyone else, and that means bringing along the appropriate travel documents. The airline managed to arrange a replacement passport for the pilot, but not before passengers were already heavily inconvenienced.

The airline issued a statement saying, “We are currently reviewing disciplinary action for the pilot. We are also negotiating compensation with the passengers.” During the delay, passengers were given hotel rooms and a free breakfast.
