Where to find the best sports and soccer bars in Guadalajara

In Guadalajara, the soccer bar scene is no joke, and fans follow Liga MX teams and international matches with passion. For visitors, the best soccer bars will mostly be in central neighborhoods like Colonia Americana and the avenues around Avenida Chapultepec. These areas are loaded with bars, pubs, and casual restaurants that mix nightlife with reliable sports viewing. During big matches, the street will fill with people grabbing drinks and walking between stops before or after kickoff. Neighborhoods like Providencia and parts of Zapopan pull a mix of locals and tourists and are where you’ll find most of the city’s Irish-pub-type bars. These neighborhoods feel slightly more residential and relaxed but still energetic on game days.

Gallo Cervecero Sportsbar is a standout in Colonia Americana for its trendy yet cozy vibe, excellent beer and cocktail selection, and a menu of spruced-up wings and burgers. A room full of screens and a lively crowd make game days especially fun, and it’s walkable from most spots in Colonia Americana. It literally already has a countdown to the 2026 World Cup kickoff going on its website, so get ready for one of the most intense soccer bar experiences in Guadalajara if you go.

SkyGamers Sports Bar

SkyGamers Sports Bar isn’t messing around — its bar is literally ringed with enough TVs to show over a dozen matches at once. The beer is cold, the crowd is dedicated (no matter who their team is), and despite being in Centro, just east of Colonia Americana, the bar is walkable from many parts of the neighborhood.

Señor Stone offers a classic sports bar experience in Colonia Americana, complete with hearty bar food like ribs and fries, and plenty of screens for watching matches. Sit outside on the patio for some fresh air, or grab a seat near the bar when your favorite team is playing. It’s located just off Avenida Chapultepec, making it easy to find and reach.

Cerveceria Chapultepec

Cervecería Chapultepec keeps prices low, and its Avenida Chapultepec location puts it right in the center of Guadalajara’s nightlife scene. You’ll find DJs on weekends, soccer on TV most of the time, and one of the best beer selections in the neighborhood. It’s also one of the most dog-friendly spots bars in the city, as all of its 100-plus locations welcome dogs on the patios.

La Vitola, just across Avenida Manuel Ávila Camacho from the Guadalajara Country Club, has multiple screens for watching the action and great deals on beer buckets, shots, and cocktails. The food menu covers snacks, tacos, pizzas, and all the usual sports bar appetizers.

Proyecto Cantina

Sports fans in one of Guadalajara’s fanciest areas head to Proyecto Cantina to watch matches over sandwiches and beer. It’s open until at least 1 AM and within walking distance — or a short Uber ride — if you’re staying nearby.

California Wings and Beer

California-style wings and beers just south of Providencia central are the staple at California Wings and Beer, with a good vibe that’s easily accessible to those in other neighborhoods in central Guadalajara. The bar stays open late and will have both World Cup and major US sporting events on.

Wingman Sports House

The name says it all — wings, sports, and a homey vibe. Wingman Sports House is just north of the stadium and is sure to be popping off throughout the tournament. If you’re heading to the stadium area to check out the scene without tickets, this is a great spot to catch the game.

McCarthy’s Irish Pub Galerias

About two miles from Estadio Akron, McCarthy’s Pub Galerias offers a classic Irish sports bar experience with outdoor seating, multiple TVs, happy hour drink specials, and a menu of standard bar food like burgers and wings.

Rush Sports Bar’s main obsession is auto racing, and it’s known for being one of the best bars in Guadalajara to catch F1 events. But during the World Cup, its second passion takes center stage. Expect an international crowd here, in a location you’ll need to Uber to, though it’s convenient for those staying at hotels north of the stadium.
