You Can Win a Free Stay in Idaho’s Giant Potato Hotel

September marks National Potato Month, and whether you like them fried, roasted, mashed, or baked, there aren’t many ways to go wrong when cooking a potato. If you are a spud-lover, this year you could win a chance to celebrate the quirky Potato Month designation with a stay in the Big Idaho Potato Hotel.

McAlister’s Deli, known for its giant, topping-filled potatoes, is throwing The Great Spud Getaway for September. The winner and a friend will receive a four-day, three-night all-expenses-paid trip to Boise, Idaho, to stay in the Big Idaho Potato Hotel, which is a replica of a 6-ton Russet Burbank potato. There, they’ll be able to participate in lots of potato-themed activities, including a ride in the Big Idaho Potato Truck, a 72-foot semitrailer with an enormous 4-ton potato on board. The winner will also receive a year’s supply of free giant spuds from McAlister’s Deli.

To enter, you’ll need to be a US resident and at least 18. All you need to do is post or tweet a photo of your spud creation using #spudbudsweeps and tagging @McAlistersDeli on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The trip will take place from October 14 through October 17. You have until Sept. 14 at 11:50 PM EST to get your entry in for a chance to win the stay.
