Wyndham Launches First-of-Its-Kind Travel Subscription With Instant Hotel and Flight Savings

“The world of travel rewards is changing,” Scott Strickland, chief commercial officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said in a press release. “Historically, such benefits were reserved only for the travel elite, off-limits to those without high-fee, premium credit cards. Wyndham Rewards Insider flips that script, putting the power back in the hands of everyday travelers—all for less than the cost of a night out”.

Insider members receive savings of 10 percent or more at more than 8,000 Hotels by Wyndham and can earn 50 percent more points as Gold, Platinum, or Diamond members. Additional discounts include up to 5 percent on domestic flights, 15 percent on international flights, 30 percent on cruises, and 15 percent on tours and activities. Example trips cited by the company include savings of more than $850 for a five-night all-inclusive stay at Wyndham Alltra Samana in the Dominican Republic and more than $580 for a three-night Orlando trip including a stay at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and theme park tickets.

The program also extends into entertainment and lifestyle experiences through a new partnership with Ticketmaster, allowing members to earn and redeem points for more than 50,000 concerts and live events, with exclusive access to theme parks such as Walt Disney World Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, and LEGOLAND California Resort.

Wyndham Rewards Insider’s annual subscription model effectively shortcuts the traditional climb through elite status tiers. For $95 per year, subscribers are automatically upgraded to Gold level—a tier that normally requires at least five qualifying nights—and can accelerate their points earning by 50 percent for higher statuses such as Platinum and Diamond. This approach contrasts sharply with conventional loyalty programs like Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors, where elite tiers must be earned through accumulated nights, points, or spending thresholds. By introducing a pay-to-elevate structure, Wyndham democratizes elite perks such as room upgrades, concierge access, and bonus points, positioning itself as a lower-barrier alternative to programs that reserve comparable benefits for high-frequency or high-spend travelers.

Through the end of 2025, new subscribers receive 14 months for the price of 12, plus a 7,500-point bonus—enough for a free night at thousands of Wyndham hotels worldwide. The Wyndham Rewards program, which counts approximately 120 million members globally, continues to emphasize straightforward earning and redemption, offering a minimum of 1,000 points per qualified stay and free nights starting at 7,500 points.
