Frozen and cozy: An evening at RAW:churchill, Canada’s most unique restaurant
It might come as a surprise that one of the world’s most unique dining experiences takes place in Canada. And, no, not Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal, but up among the polar bears and icebergs in northern Manitoba, at a little place called RAW:churchill.
At RAW:churchill, diners eat inside a 250-year-old stone fort under the Northern Lights. It’s a culinary and adventure travel combination that can’t be matched. In fact, just getting to the restaurant is quite an undertaking:
In the evening, you will be picked up in Churchill and transferred to the official Tundra Buggy®. Once on board, you will travel across the Churchill River to the Prince of Wales Fort. The RAW:churchill tent structure is inside the fort’s stone walls where you will be seated at a large table for 20. Enjoy a world-class meal in the warm tent. A portion of the tent’s roof is transparent so you may be able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights from the tent…
As far as culinary experiences go, this one has to be seen to be believed.
