I greeted Vienna with open arms! Literally, I gave out free hugs in the First District. Vienna has been ranked year after year as the world's most livable city, and I can see why. They have wide open street parties, and it's this open vibe that several different travelers and locals commented on. Vienna is also a beautiful city. We spent time seeing the St. Charles Church (Karlskirche), the Hoffman Palace, and the Vienna Opera House, and ate plenty of schnitzel and strudel. Finally, we saw the Heldenplatz where Hitler famously declared Austria part of Nazi Germany. I couldn't leave without a few choice words for Adolf.
