What a Family Road Trip to the Gorgeous Oregon Coast Looks Like

THE OREGON COAST is rugged. I have driven every mile of the West Coast of the States and the stretch of coastline in Oregon is definitely my highlight (Big Sur and Olympic National Park are right at the top as well). I’ve been here dozens of times in the past, and I am constantly finding new places to adventure while still enjoying familiar places over and over again.

Last year, my family and I made a road trip on the Oregon Coast, but this year we got to bring two close friends to experience this beautiful place. Our 3-day itinerary was nearly identical to the previous trip, but it was special to show these dear friends why I love to revisit this coastline. The highlights of this trip were hiking the cliffside in Oswald West State Park, watching whales feed right off the cliffs at Cape Kiwanda, finishing each day with a campfire, but most importantly sharing the experience with my family and two close friends — who are now in love with the Oregon coast.
