A survey conducted by The Knot, the #1 multiplatform wedding resource, reports that the average cost of a wedding in the US is $31,213. Do you know how much traveling a couple can do with that amount of money?

Jeremy and Rachelle realized very quickly that a traditional wedding would be a time- and money-consuming affair, so they decided to back out of their plans and took off on a kick-ass trip to Iceland instead.

The couple road-tripped around the country for a few weeks and explored the natural Icelandic wonders to the fullest.

One day, the couple came upon an old church that had been partially destroyed due to a volcanic eruption and decided that it would be their wedding venue. The couple exchanged their vows and rings, with no one but themselves to appreciate this special moment, before hitting the road to continue their adventure.

With the money they saved from not having a lavish, traditional wedding, Jeremy and Rachelle flew fine art photographer Troy Moth to Iceland. The artist captured stunning photographs of the couple’s trip.
