Elayne Clift

Elayne is a writer, journalist, and women's health educator who traveled to Somaliland in October 2011 to serve as a volunteer doula at a maternity hospital in the capital city of Hargeisa. A frequent contributor to Women's Media Center and Sr. Correspondent for the India-based Women's Feature Service, she has lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand where she taught at Payap University. Her latest book, a novel, is Hester's Daughters (OGN Publications, 2012).
