Marcos Bartolomé is a Barcelona-based journalist reluctantly starring in the Mediterranean spin-off of Bridget Jones' Diary. He holds a master's in Arab studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and has published in outlets such as Foreign Policy and El Orden Mundial, which he co-founded. In a previous life, he was a Spanish teacher on the French East African island of Mayotte. Marcos hails from Asturias, where Spain's grass is greener, and has also lived in Madrid, Copenhagen, and Rabat. He speaks seven languages.
