Seychelles has become the sort of name that conjures up images of extreme luxury and exotic expense, like Monte Carlo or the Maldives. Granted, the Seychelles do have their share of off-the-charts luxury hotels, but with a little research, you can still find a place to rent here without busting your travel budget. That little bit of travel-savvy will pay off once you land in this group of 115 islands, where you’ll be greeted by stunning white sands and clear, turquoise water.
The best beaches in the Seychelles will be on the island of Praslin, at Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. You can also take a ferry to the less-populated island of La Digue and experience the pink sands at Anse Source d’Argent. If you’re more into animals than beach time, head to Cousin Island, where you’ll have a better-than-average chance of seeing Hawksbill turtles laying their eggs. Most of the country is preserved marine sanctuary, so it’s become one of the few places in the world you can spot the babies.
