Over the course of the year, Lyft has taken people to a pretty wide range of places all across the United States, but some destinations are more popular than others. To cap off the year, the ridesharing company has compiled a list of its most popular destinations and most popular neighborhood drop-offs in 2018. Organized by city, the list provides interesting insight into which areas are highly desirable ride destinations in the US.

Top 2018 Lyft destinations:

  • Los Angeles — The Grove
  • Brooklyn — The Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • San Francisco — Ferry Building
  • Chicago — Union Station
  • Washington, DC — MGM National Harbor
  • Denver — Union Station
  • San Diego — Petco Park
  • Philadelphia — Wawa
  • Phoenix — PHX Sky Harbor
  • Miami — Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Most popular Lyft neighborhood drop-offs on NYE:

  • Los Angeles — Hollywood
  • Brooklyn — Williamsburg
  • San Francisco — SOMA
  • Chicago — Lakeview
  • Washington, DC — Shaw
  • Denver — LoDo
  • San Diego — Downtown
  • Boston — Brighton
  • Philadelphia — Queen Village
  • Phoenix — Mill Ave
  • Miami — Miami Beach

The results cover a diverse range of destinations, including museums, parks, train stations, and even fast-food restaurants. While public spaces and entertainment venues dominate the list of top destinations — with the notable exception of Wawa in Philadelphia — the most popular neighborhoods list has a bit more variety. Unsurprisingly, Hollywood is the most popular neighborhood in LA while the student suburb of Brighton ranks as the most visited in Boston. Similarly, young and trendy Williamsburg is Brooklyn’s most requested drop off.

These lists are more than just fun statistics. The data is also an indication of a city’s hot spots, up-and-coming areas, and, when viewed over the course of multiple years, a city’s continuing evolution.
