Pringles-Flavored Ramen Noodles Are Now a Thing

Serious snackers have long been plagued by this age-old question: chips or ramen? Now, there’s no need to choose. To celebrate its 50th birthday, Pringles is joining forces with Super Cup, a Japanese noodle company, to launch a hybrid product that’s sure to have you reaching for the snack cabinet at 3:00 AM: Pringles-flavored instant noodles.

The first instalment of the crossover is “Sour Cream and Onion Yakisoba.” The noodles are seasoned with onion, garlic, and sour cream, and if that’s not bold enough, there’s even an extra packet of seasoning included with each cup. There’s also a “Jalapeño and Onion” flavor with a dash of potato and onion bits.

The cups will also come with a pack of Pringles for dipping, which just seems like a no-brainer for any successful noodle-chip partnership. Not to let noodles have all the glory, the brands have also released a few new potato chip options inspired by Super Cup’s chicken and squid noodle flavors.

If you’re hoping to find these mashups at every convenience store, you might be disappointed. The launch will be limited to select supermarkets and convenience stores — and only in Japan. The jalapeño and onion and sour cream and onion flavors will debut on October 15 while the squid-flavored chips and noodles will be released on October 23. Time to book that trip to Japan and stock up for the flight home.
