With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just months away across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, anyone interested in tickets (and who didn’t score in the lottery for affordable tickets) is realizing just how much it’ll cost to see their favorite national team play in the Group Stage.

A new SeatPick study of official group stage ticket listings found that fans of Mexico, Portugal, and the US are among those paying the most to see their teams play. SeatPick analyzed World Cup Group Stage prices on December 15, 2025, using price data sourced internally from SeatPick.

Mexico ranks as the most expensive team to follow at the 2026 World Cup based on average ticket prices for group stage matches. SeatPick calculates that fans can expect to pay an average of $5,189 per ticket for Mexico’s group games, with prices ranging from $1,047 at the low end to $85,056 for the most in-demand listings.

The figures reflect Mexico’s broad international fanbase and the strong pull of El Tri within North America, where the tournament is being staged across 16 cities in the US, Mexico, and Canada.

Portugal sits second in the ranking, with an average group-stage ticket price of $3,161. Listings for Portugal matches start at $514 and climb to $117,005 at the top end, driven in part by global speculation that this could be Cristiano Ronaldo’s final World Cup appearance.

The US ranks third overall. Fans of the US Men’s National Team face an average group-stage ticket cost of $2,718, with the most expensive listings reaching $98,872. As one of the co-hosts, the US is expected to see heightened local demand.

Rounding out the top 10 most expensive teams to watch by SeatPick’s measure are Canada, South Africa, Scotland, Brazil, Argentina, England, and France.
