Aqua Dome is a four-star hotel and spa located in the Ötztal Valley in Austria. The complex is huge — the hotel has 200 rooms, and the spa consists of multiple wellness areas, including a large section dedicated to saunas and steam baths called Sauna World, a water park for children called Kiddies’ World, a gym, a restaurant, a lounge area, and many, many outdoors pools.

There is a sports pool for those who wish to swim laps, baby and kiddies pools, a river pool, and the stars of the show: Three elevated round pools that Aqua Dome calls “bowls” and “basins”.

The Sulphur Bowl, the Massage Bowl, and the Brine Basin are the most well-known features of all of Aqua Dome, mostly because of their unique design. Each is circular in shape and sits on a pillar off the ground like a Champagne coupe. In the middle of this trio of flying saucer-like heated pools is Diamond, a glass conical structure that is actually the access point to the elevated pools. At night, the pool are illuminated, making the place look even more surreal. A spa has never looked so futuristic!

From these three unusual-looking outdoor pools, guests can fully take in the beauty of their surroundings. Aqua Dome is set in a gorgeous and peaceful alpine landscape and there are fewer nicer ways to enjoy it than from a pool full of massage jets. And because the pools are heated, you can do so no matter the season.
