As part of the Matador Twitter contest, we will be spotlighting cool gear we’ll be giving away to lucky readers.

From the co-creator of Billboard’s Classical Crossover chart-topper Aria, comes Paris to Cuba. Composed and created by Mario Grigorov, the ten tracks on the CD are the embodiment of summertime.

Perfect for any travel buff, the album’s sound conjures up the feeling of sipping mid-afternoon mojitos while watching a sunset on the Seine.

Blending hints of Pink Martini and Buena Vista Social Club, it is easy for the listener to get lost in the guitar solos, mysterious accordion and nostalgic, sweeping strings.

Not your typical jazz or world record, nearly all tracks on the album are instrumental, with the exception of three songs that feature stunning vocals by Melissa Newman whose voice is reminiscent of Madeleine Peyroux.

Reminds me of quite a few tracks on Putumayo’s Latin cds – and I love it. Chill but also wakes me up.
Wish I had spent more time there, but my favorite place in Paris was outside the Louvre as the light bounced off it at sunset.
