Al Mackinnon

Al Mackinnon is a photographer and surfer with a penchant for uncrowded
locales, often those in cooler parts of the globe. On the road ten months a year
his work featuring in countless publications worldwide, he was the first Brit to
score a cover of surfing’s bi-monthly tome; The Surfers Journal, the first Brit to
be nominated for a Billabong XXL award twice (winning once in 2006/7) and
featured alongside some of the greatest photographers of all time in the Silver
Footprint book. Trusted by clients to produce arresting imagery whatever the
weather and by locals to handle their zones with subtlety.
