In a tournament spread across three countries, 16 host cities, and 104 games, planning a World Cup trip takes a lot of logistics. Airbnb is trying to make the process easier with select Airbnb stays across all 16 FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities now including free match tickets. Eligible listings are available during June and July on tournament dates in each city. The offer applies to games from the group stage through the final.

“Airbnb hosts don’t just offer you a place to stay — they provide a more authentic way to experience a destination,” Dave Stephenson, Airbnb’s chief business officer, said in the announcement. “And this World Cup, they’re doing something extraordinary: helping fans follow their teams wherever the tournament takes them, with select homes including free tickets in every host city.”

The participating homes average $385 per night, according to Airbnb, and that includes the tickets. Travelers can find them by searching for stays on match dates in a host city through Airbnb’s app or website. Eligible listings will show a soccer ball icon at the top of the listing page, and tickets are included for each guest in the booking party, up to the home’s maximum occupancy. After the booking is confirmed, the host will provide details on accessing the tickets.

Airbnb said hosts and guests will receive more than 1,300 free tickets through the program, including surprise tickets already given to guests booked during the group stage and tickets now attached to future stays.

The offer builds on Airbnb’s FIFA partnership announced in 2025, when the company became the official alternative accommodations and experiences booking platform for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, as well as a supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. Airbnb previously said more than 380,000 guests were expected to use the platform for World Cup stays, with an estimated $3.6 billion in economic impact for host city economies.

The program highlights the growing trend of sports travel, where lodging, access, and experiences are increasingly sold together. Airbnb has leaned into that model through FIFA-linked fan experiences and host-city programming. Booking an Airbnb is only part of the experience, but that part opens the door to a much broader trip agenda.
For hosts, Airbnb framed the ticket offer as an extension of hospitality.

“I grew up playing soccer — it’s been part of my life since I could walk,” said Federico Zimmerman, an Airbnb host in Dallas, in the press release. “Getting to share that love of the game with guests, and actually get them into a World Cup match, is something I never could have imagined when I first listed my home on Airbnb.”
