The Belize Tourism Board is keen to make you relive your childhood memories, so it’s organizing a little game for those who want to check out the country and have some fun along the way. For that, the Belize Tourism Board will select five people to play the giant game of hide-and-seek, and the entire country of Belize will be your playground. The best part is that successful applicants will be flown out for free, and enjoy an all-expenses-paid experience.
Get Flown to Belize for an All-Expenses-Paid, Country-Wide Game of Hide-and-Seek
If chosen, you’ll be either a hider or a seeker. The four hiders will have a relaxing experience, as their only responsibility is, well, to hide. And by “hiding,” we mean relaxing in the country’s remote resorts, jungles, and on some of its most stunning beaches. As a seeker, your experience will be more adventurous. You will be paired with a local guide, who will give you clues on how to find all four hiders. But don’t worry, you won’t be scavenging 24/7. You’ll also get the opportunity to go dive and snorkel along the Belize Barrier Reef, and explore the Chiquibul caves and Mayan ruins. There is no prize for finding all four hiders (or for successfully evading the seeker), but the all-expenses-paid trip is reward enough.
Karen Bevans, director of tourism at the Belize Tourism Board, said in a press release, “Belize is a curious place, and we are always looking for ways to evoke a child-like curiosity in travelers…we look forward to showcasing all that Belize has to offer in the context of this beloved children’s game.”
To apply, email hideandseekbelize@gmail.com and explain why you think you would be a perfect hider or seeker (make sure either “hider” or “seeker” is in your subject line). Entries will be accepted from now through October 8th, and the experience will take place between November 12th and November 18th. See the official website for more details.
