The Causeway Coastal Route Is the Most Scenic Way to Explore Northern Ireland

Continuing along the coastal route, your next stop should be the iconic Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge near Ballintoy. Spanning 65 feet and hanging nearly 100 feet above the sea rocks, crossing this bridge is not for the faint-hearted. However, those who do are rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline and the Scottish islands on clear days.

Further along the route, you’ll come across the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you approach the end of your journey, make sure to visit the medieval Dunluce Castle, precariously perched on the edge of a cliff. Its dramatic location and rich history make it a must. Continue your drive towards Derry-Londonderry, the only completely walled city in Ireland. Here, you can walk along the walls, visit the historic Guildhall, and explore the vibrant cultural scene.
