Lake Louise is a village located in Banff National Park. While only 40 minutes by car from its incredibly famous neighbor Banff Town, also within the park, it’s a lot smaller and quieter. Of course that does not mean there’s nothing do around Lake Louise; there are plenty of restaurants to sit for a lovely meal, and many places to spend the night, but few beat the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
The village of Lake Louise is named after the beautiful nearby lake along the shore of which the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise sits. Like its name hints at, the hotel has been designed to look like a castle and inside, you’ll feel like royalty. Each of the 539 room in this resort are opulent, but the ones with views of the lake are especially breathtaking. Of course, staying there isn’t cheap, but waking up to vistas that spectacular is priceless.
