Stealing the spotlight from Dubai and fast becoming the hippest place to be in the Arabian Gulf, Qatar is enjoying a growing popularity – especially after being the first Arab country to win a bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

With the world’s highest GDP per capita and plenty of oil and gas resources, Qatar’s wealth is transforming it into a modernized state in the image of the UAE, attracting so many foreigners and investors that they represent nearly three quarters of the total population.
