NOT ONLY DOES EVERYONE NOW HAVE a pocket camera that we can now carry around the world, we also have the ability to geotag those pictures and pinpoint where they’re taken. That’s what the people at Parrot Print Canvas did: using Sightsmap, a program that uses Google data to create heatmaps of where pictures are taken, they’ve identified the 20 most photographed attractions in the world. They also included the number of hashtagged Instagram posts using that place name. Some of the results are pretty surprising.
