TODAY IS THE 90TH BIRTHDAY OF HER MAJESTY the Queen, and this weekend is St. George’s Day, the holiday in honor of England’s patron saint. In both Her Majesty’s and the Saint’s honor, our friends at Loyd & Townsend Rose, a luxury travel firm that rents honest-to-god castles, put together this easy guide to the basics of etiquette for being a proper English gentleman or lady. Some of it (like the proper place settings at a table) is likely culture specific, but some of it can be applied universally (like never saying “nice to meet you”).
