There’s a lot of talk about where our food comes from. Things like local, organic or sustainably-produced have become buzzwords, but do you know what they really mean? Have you ever wondered where the ingredients in your favorite food come from?
To try and provide some insight into this, the guys at Pots Planters & More analyzed the ingredients of 20 of the most popular American foods and visualized which U.S. state or foreign country is the most likely source of each ingredient. They did this by looking at UDSA reports tracking hundreds of varieties of produce, as well as meat, poultry, and dairy. You can check the results in the infographic below.
