A Wine Fountain Just Opened in Melbourne so You Can Pour Your Own Rosé and Shiraz

You might have thought chocolate fountains were your favorite kind of fountain, but that’s only because you’ve never experienced the joys of a wine fountain before.

During this month only, the Winter Village in Melbourne, Australia, will feature a wine fountain in Federation Square. Don’t worry, there won’t be a fountain attendant giving you tiny servings — you can pour your own from the vintage black fountain, using two different taps: one dispensing a Shiraz and the other rosé. Both wines come from St. Huberts winery, based in the Yarra Valley.

Melbourne might be taking a cue from Abruzzo, Italy, where the Fontana del Vino flows with free, local wine every day.
