Meryl Streep Adds Another Unfortunate Comment to the #OscarsSoWhite Controversy

AT THE BERLIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, actress Meryl Streep was asked about her understanding of Arab and African culture (the jury panel for the festival was all-white). Her unfortunate response puts her on the growing list of celebrities fueling the #OscarsSoWhite controversy even further. Several celebrities have already decided to boycott the awards show to voice their anger at Hollywood for not doing more to accurately represent people of color in its films.
