In the United States, only 22 states require public schools to include sexual education, and 87% of that education is still mostly abstinence-based. We also have the highest rate of teen pregnancy and STD’s among industrialized nations.
Meanwhile, in Europe, sexual education is mandatory across the board (in the Netherlands, students start learning as early as age four) and often includes topics like sexual orientation, pleasure, porn, and relationship dynamics. Watch the video to learn more about what Europe is getting right.
