Oscar Mayer Is Once Again Looking for People to Drive Its Iconic Wienermobiles

Pandemic travel restrictions have resulted in the booming popularity of road trips, and you might as well turn some heads by taking the trip in a gigantic hot dog with wheels. Oscar Mayer is continuing its annual tradition of looking for drivers, or “Hotdoggers,” for its iconic 27-foot-long Weinermobile.

In a statement, the company said, “Many of us were stuck last year without places to go, people to see and adventures to experience. Once again, beloved meats brand Oscar Mayer is opening submissions for recent college graduates to make up for the missed adventures of 2020 by joining the 34th class of Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers.”

If chosen, you will become an Oscar Mayer brand ambassador responsible for representing the brand at charity functions, media appearances, and other special celebrations. You will spend a year not only traveling the country, between June 2021 and June 2022, but also taking part in radio and TV appearances, newspaper interviews, grocery store visits, military events, and charity functions as goodwill ambassadors for the brand.

According to current Wienermobile driver Molly Swindall, “As if driving a 27-foot long hot dog on wheels isn’t the best thing since sliced ham, I’ve loved having the chance to make a positive impact in the communities we’ve visited. From delivering meals to those in need, helping a little boy get a service dog, or making somebody’s birthday extra-special, no two days of this job are ever the same.”

Oscar Mayer is looking for “outgoing, creative, friendly, enthusiastic, graduating college seniors who have an appetite for adventure and are willing to see the country through the windshield of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.” If interested, you can apply by sending your resume and cover letter via email by January 30. More information about the job and application process is available online.
