Waves for the Brave shows injured vets how to surf [VID]

Injured war vets again demonstrate surfing’s healing qualities.
THE SECOND ANNUAL “Waves for the Brave” surf camp, run by the Veterans’ Affairs Boston Healthcare System, occurred in Nantasket Beach, MA, this past weekend. The event built on the previous year’s mission of providing physically injured war veterans a chance to surf. Whether it’s to continue a hobby that some of the vets already had or to elevate spirits or to get some exercise, the video, which is pretty heartwarming, shows that anyone can, and should, enjoy a good day of waves.
