TWO ARTISTS collaborated to create a series of wave cinemagraphs that show the sea in a whole new way.
Photographer Ray Collins is well known for his still photography of seascapes. Cinematographer Armand Djicks animated 7 of his still images into cinemagraphs.
A cinemagraph is a still photo with some sort of minor repetitive animation added, creating a cross between and photo and a video. The waves now loop infinitely and in slow motion. Watching them can trick your mind — you will expect them to come crashing down, but they never do.
