The falls themselves are made up of three tiers cascading down a rocky slope with spectacular views from each level. At around 50 feet high, they create an impressive sight that can be seen from miles away on a clear day. As you approach the top tier, you will be met with roaring sound from cascading water and mist that rises from its depths. There are also numerous smaller waterfalls located in the area surrounding Weekacura – so visitors can see multiple waterfalls for the price of one.

In addition to simply exploring these stunning falls, there are lots of activities nearby that you can enjoy as well. You can go tubing down one of the many rapids close by, or take a boat ride across Lake Maninjau — all while admiring panoramic views of forests and rugged mountains. There are also plenty of local restaurants nearby where you can try some delicious traditional Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng (fried rice) or Sate Ayam (chicken skewers).

Beyond waterfalls, West Sumba is also known for its world-class surfing. The island offers some of the best surfing in all of Indonesia. With its consistent waves and warm waters, it’s no wonder why this region has become so popular among surfers from around the world. If you’re feeling brave enough, you can even try your hand at catching some waves with a local instructor or guide.
