As far as paid internships go, this might be one of the best opportunities out there. It’s not exactly the one work experience that’s going to make your resume shine, but you’ll be paid very decently and you won’t be retrieving coffee or making copies all day, so it’s already better than 95 percent of most internships out there. This “pupternship,” offered by Texas-based MUTTS Canine Cantina, wants to pay one person $100 per hour to play with dogs. Specializing in local craft beers, and with an onsite dog park, the Cantina is a dog-friendly restaurant that encourages visitors to bring their canine companions.

The “puptern” will have only one responsibility: play with the dogs and keep them entertained. Kyle Noonan, the restaurant’s co-founder, told Bustle, “There aren’t many opportunities out there that pay interns to strictly play with dogs all day long…I’d be lying if I said this is going to be one ‘ruff’ internship.” The “puptern” can expect to work around four hours per day for six to eight weeks throughout fall and winter.

Applying is pretty simple. Just follow @MuttsCantina on Instagram, then post a photo or video on your personal account explaining why you would be the best fit for the “pupternship.” Remember to tag @MuttsCantina, and be sure to use the hashtag #MUTTSpuptern in your caption. If you’re lucky enough to be chosen, MUTTS will reach out to you to coordinate travel arrangements to its Dallas-Fort Worth location. Applications are open through November 12th.
