The twelfth and final season of Parts Unknown will air this fall. The season’s six episodes will mark the conclusion of the popular series hosted by famed chef and traveler Anthony Bourdain, who passed away in June. As if the season won’t be emotional enough on its own, CNN has just released a tear-jerking trailer featuring comedian W. Kamau Bell, who will appear in the final episode to include Bourdain’s narration and full involvement in the show.

“He wasn’t making TV for TV’s sake,” Bell says in the trailer, holding back tears. “He wasn’t just doing a job. This was his life’s work.” The comedian also expresses his profound gratitude for the chance to be part of such an iconic series. “I feel a tremendous responsibility to learn the lesson that I learned when I was with him, to deepen the work that I’m doing, and to prove him right to want me to be on an episode of Parts Unknown.” In the episode, he and Bourdain eat their way through Nairobi, Kenya.

“Seventeen f***ing years,” says Bourdain in a clip from the episode, as he sits on a hilltop with Bell. “As soon as the cameras turn off and the crew will be sitting around, we’ll be having a cocktail. I f***ing pinch myself. I cannot f***ing believe that I get to do this.”

On September 23rd at 9:00 PM Eastern Time, we’ll get to watch him do it one last time.
