In Nelson County, Virginia, near the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nelson 151 is a road you have to travel to believe.
Within a 15-mile stretch around Rockfish Valley, there are nearly a dozen craft breweries, wineries, and cideries, including Bold Rock, one of the biggest hard cider producers in the Eastern US. The road also takes you through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Appalachians, with access to nearby Wintergreen Resort and the Three Ridges Wilderness, which has some incredible hikes and overlooks.
An ideal weekend here? Take the bikes, the hiking boots, and spend equal parts trail-time, equal parts sipping-time at each of these craft drink locations.
